Ziften Wins 2015 Red Herring North America Top 100 Award
Growing Security Startup Recognized for Purpose-Built Continuous Endpoint Intelligence Solutions
AUSTIN, Texas – June 8, 2015 – Ziften today announced that Red Herring has selected the company as a Top 100 award winner. The annual awards recognize the leading private startups, celebrating their innovations and technologies. Ziften’s inclusion in the security sector was based on its groundbreaking solution that protects organizations to the endpoint and beyond. Unique to the industry, Ziften is fast, efficient and effortless for the end-user to not only deploy, but also drive enhanced capabilities from currently utilized security products.
“Endpoint security is undergoing a fundamental shift, not only in its ability to protect organizations, but in the recognition that only purpose-built, multi point solutions, will be able to realize the promise of this industry,” said Charles Leaver, CEO of Ziften. “Ziften has that purpose-built, multi point solution that deploys in a matter of hours and delivers immediate time to value, providing continuous intelligence from every endpoint in an organization and integrating into the existing ecosystem of security products. That is the point – to produce a solution that is accessible and actionable, so any organization’s security team can rapidly respond to all exposures and threats using Ziften and Ziften’s product integrations into the existing security ecosystem such as firewall, netflow, SIEM/CEF, big data, security intelligence, NAC, AV, and more. Our inclusion on the Red Herring 100 is a great acknowledgement of this company’s vision.”
Red Herring Top 100 North America award winners are selected from approximately 1,200 privately financed companies each year in the US and Canada. Red Herring’s editorial staff evaluated companies on both quantitative and qualitative criteria, such as financial performance, technological innovation and intellectual property, DNA of the founders, business model, customer footprint and addressable market.
“In 2015, selecting the top achievers was by no means a small feat,” said Alex Vieux, publisher and CEO of Red Herring. “In fact, we had the toughest time in years because so many entrepreneurs had crossed significant milestones so early. But after much thought, rigorous contemplation and discussion, we narrowed our list down from hundreds of candidates from across North America to the North America winners. We believe Ziften embodies the vision, drive and innovation that define a successful entrepreneurial venture. Ziften should be proud of its accomplishment, as the competition was very strong.”
Ziften’s Red Herring award is the latest recognition for the company. CIO Review named Ziften to its 2015 “20 Most Promising RSA Security Solution Providers” list. Ziften was also listed as the top Endpoint Threat Detection vendor on Cybersecurity 500, a directory of the hottest and most innovative cybersecurity companies to watch in 2015 according to Cybersecurity Ventures.
